Horizontal Bridge Rotation 水平橋樑轉體施工
The viaduct will span across the MTR East Rail Line. To reduce the impact on railway operations, the project team adopted the horizontal bridge rotation method for the construction of this bridge section.
First, they would install the prefabricated components at the construction site next to the track, and then turned the entire bridge section during non-traffic hours to span across the East Rail Line tracks. This construction method is being used for the first time in vehicular viaduct in Hong Kong.
行車天橋將橫越港鐵東鐵線，為減低對鐵路運作的影響，工程團隊採用水平橋樑轉體施工方式，先於路軌旁的工地進行預製組件裝嵌，然後於深夜非行車時間將整段橋轉向至橫跨東鐵線路軌。此類型建造高架橋的方式，是首次在本港的行車天橋採用。
